I have restarted my creation process....I had to push it out of me or I will stall for an unlimited period of time. I guess I miss Europe, I guess I miss what I had in the process to enjoy what I have and what I will have.

I've dugged in my bead box and made a pair of sterling silver and copper hammered hoop earrings for a swap.

Inspired by an intercontinental move, I have been weeding out future projects...But when my mother-in-law presented me with some fabulous scraps of fabric, I have decided to revive my quilting skills.
It was a SWEAT! I could not remember much. I have been idle since June this year because of the move.But after many trials and errors and thanks to my new wonderful Studio set-up (meaning more table space) I have created Kitty Kat Mania.
Here is the project is all of his various stages.

What a wonderful, not hot, day was today. I went with a friend up to St Goarhausen to visit a liquor store.
I know what you think by now.
But this wasn't any ordinary liquor store. They make their own brandy and schnapps and wine and Eiswein (if you do not know what it is google it) and I got to taste the most delicious brandies ever. I made it home only with a tiny bottle of Chocolate mint and a tinier bottle of Peach brandy (thanks to Sony Germany for cutting my "fun" budget), but is not far at all and I forgot how beautiful the Lorelei valley is.

I left my camera at home!
We have 4 Digi cameras (ok one is sort of meleted down after Jeff took it to Iraq but...still works) and all were at home and that included a DEAD cellphone.

So lots of inspiration to look for Pewter ware and abandon it all to live in a castle...and there are plenty up the Lorelei....no pun intended since Lorelei is a mermaid....so a woman.

...and I am sneezing my heart out, no really. I think i tried to sneezed it out a couple of times.
The Lilacs are blooming and so is the Wisteria and another myriad of colours bombs, aka Flowers.
But I am indoors reorganizing my little work space, (pictures to follow), to make room for me and my little growing artist. Who has been painting his bedroom with Expo markers and called his piece "Alien war" (pictures to coming later).

Right now I am going to update with some of my latest artwork This is one of my first solo acrylic paintings......it is entitled "Hiding you"
These are two fo the pages I have done for the minibook for Altered Book Europe.The theme is: Seasons and so I represented them with colours on one side and a napkin and acrylic technique on the other and a good dash of sewing lines....

You know somebody for a certain amount of time and there is always something there stuck in the back of your mind, you cannot put a finger to it and then 2 days before they exit your life you get to know the oddity. It is satisfying, I am not complaining, but why was this person in my path? What did I learn from it other then confirming some of my previous beliefs?

So I celebrate by throwing more artwork at you........

Sometimes I wish somebody would prick me on the back and get me to update my Blog more often...I really do.
Today in this splendid weather I've decided to spend sometime updating my Blog.
I really do not feel original as I have practical thoughts in my mind, like getting my son out of the house to go to store to buy Drano for the kitchen sink, before I flood the kitchen again (well, at least it's clean now) running the Dishwasher on a clogged pipe.
But I must say...I do have artwork upon artwork to display, plus I am totally happy about a great find at the Thrift Shop where I volunteer...I will post a picture later...It could be months, but it will be later.

I wish I could say this made no sense whatsoever, but lately my life has been hectic to the point where I volunteer more then 20 hrs a week so I can have a break from , well, my life.
Everything is a learning curve and all of the baggage makes the person you are, but what about going on holiday and ending up with your face half paralyzed and still having to pay a hotel bill?
How many points I get for this kind of baggage?
But even if it is in my Tuscan nature to complaint I need to stop doing that to concentrate on talking about what has inspired me lately.
My constant inspiration is my son, because the more mess he makes the better I can use some of the "altered state" stuff I use in my collages.Everything I observe with him inspires me from a butterfly floating through the lavender to a microscopic ant that he chases to his innocent color combinations in his drawings. I even used some of his paintings as part of my backgrounds and believe me nobody noticed the difference.
Lately I am also focusing on rendering active my stock of everything I have hoarded through this past year. I am fascinated right now with working with ceramic and mixed media (really mixed from Stampings to fabric to beads and you name it).I am predominantly using my stock from my previous life as a Ceramic Shop supervisor to a box of white ceramic tiles glazed I previously bought to press flowers , but it never really worked out, so now I am turning them into little colorful plaques. I know you want pictures, they will come later...just be happy I am blogging instead of me watching a movie.
I am wanting also to do some pieces using the logarithmic spiral produced by the Golden Ratio, it fascinates me behind blief and also a lot of Christian imagery and some roosters....

What a day! A beautiful lazy day that gave me time to think about what to do about this stomach pain I have been living with for the past month.
Of course as usual the solution is alway within reach and this time it came in the form of GSE (Grapeseed extract), at least I think. It is working today, will it work tomorrow?
I am just tired of wasting a third of more of the day folded in 2 on my chair with a hot towel on me just to relieve some of the pain, and no passing gas won't stop it.

now the sweet little angel is sleeping and so the cats are after me for some Alistair's free patting.But I had promised to upload some videos which I have no energy for, just a quick post and see if I can create a What-I-read list on this Blog after I saw one on somebody's else blog.

...sometime you need to walk in the rain in order to discover how pleasant it is to spot a patch of blue sky through the dark clouds.
Today I walked in the rain to gather some Cherry blossoms for the house.I hope the warmth of the house will force them open for Easter (Ishtar's day).

I am also enjoying my 3D sculpture before it gets sent away to its new owner.

ITs name is "The beginning". The arrival of Ishtar into today's modern world. i haven't taken pictures of the inside which hides a lot of references to Ishtar and today's new world.

Even if my Easter decorations are still sitting in teh IKEA bag they came from, I came to peace with the fact that I am a Creative Soul and so defined I am a living disorganized being.
My morning started well though, I managed to catch the bus to Wiesbaden on time, arrived early at the dealership, car seems to be running fine (after the third time I brought it back), they did not charge me for the extra labor (which saves me another visit to the German Lawyer).And went to the Commissary to grab some last minute must have items for the retreat to Bad Kissingen. No, nothing artsy I am afraid.The girls from teh Thrift Shop are going as well, so probably there will be quite a bit of laughter, which at the end is the best medicine for all.

Living the life by the Constant of murphy's law is not that bad, at least you know other disgraziati find/found themselves in teh same situation as you at a point in your life.

The pressure of the problem is what is crushing., not the problem in itself which a solution to will always be found. Money seems to offer a lot of the solution possibilities and cojonas to step up to be the Alpha person in the matter.

All it comes down to a very simple English: I am having issues with a dealership and goodness have access to a free Lawyer.

That is all taking me away from my creative mood, I should look into which way I can bring my musings around again. Alternative theraphy works miracles sometimes.Recently I have been discovering on how to protect my Aura, being the super-sensitive person that I am, it gave me a solid instrument to rely on in moments of need.And it made me discover that I have been thinking about my favourite colours in the wrong way. I thought for the longest time that red and darker shades were the better suited colours for me and I was wrong.I forgot I manipulated my brain to think that because I thought of Sky Blue not a "real" color to be associated with. How could I forget that blues and pinks and greens were my originary feel-good colours?

So there is some artwork coming up in the future, maybe I will paint the face of one of the Dealership's managers with those colours , you know just to make me happy, not that I condone violence in any form.

I am a mess, but again as my good half-sister told me: Creative people cannot be orderly, it just does not go together.

I cannot absolutely believe it! I have been off-line for 7 months!!!

Time is flying by fast and don't worry, I haven't stopped creating, I've been mislabeling a lot of the pictures since what I've been creating is mainly Pop-ups.I am addicted a little, I just wish I had some more stamina to create one small piece a day.
I am going to start to re-post with my latest adventure.No, it is not trying to have Alistair saying :Yes, Mom.
I have learnt a thing or two about Paper Mache'.
I might write a help-file for all of you beginners like me out there, small steps that no book I found and read talked about.

My PC is dying. We are not sure what it is, could be the new Memory transplant, could be that my PC just plainly does not like me anymore...

It surely most interesting to work with colours I would not be caught dead dealing with. It is the main reason I swap and RR, it pushes me places I would not go.Even if they take a goodpart of my creating time, I am still glad I swap and I RR, it did push me to become better as an Altered Artist.(View my very early work in my old Blog, warning might be horrifying)

A very skinny lady with a polo-like pink dress, sleeveless and with hair on her arms that stuck up 4". I had to look twice to confirm the sight.

My son kissing a very pretty young lady and he is only 3.

A super-bleached Yuppie on a super-powered BMW, he looked very sad though.

A scarcely clothed young Frau chatting up two Eritreans.

A boy about 6 years old bowling his heart out while walking very diligently next to his Muslim Mom, who seemed not be bothered by the boy's unhappiness.

I have people from various regions of Iraq in my class, Nepal, Turkish Kurdish, Turkish, Polish, Iranians, Moldavians and of course me: an Italian.

This morning dear sweet Kathrin (the teacher) was explaining us about the upcoming German Holiday of Corpus Christi and of course the Turkish knew nothing of who Jesus is so....kathryn explained and the Iraquis started to argue, why you might ask? Because one of them is Catholic. I thought people from Naples were nasty when fighting, Iraquis are 100 times worse. They are surely not scared of confrontation, which is a positive attitude but one of them would not let the topic died down and so he decided to leave. Will he be back?

I got sidetracked tonight by looking on the web former youth companions and what they are up to.Somehow is incredible how they succeedeed within the community. I am impressed. Whom I thought would become an artist became a Statician, and whom I thought would become a Professional Criminal has become an illustrator and a web designer....

I remember being able to think only to survive in a very high pressure society and of course I am talking about my hometown of Pisa, italy.

Time goes by fast, is surely not an Idiom or whatever you called a premade phrase.
It has been over 2 mmonths since my last update. What is wrong with me?
Better what has been wrong with my computer?
Everything, I am trying to keep him alove but it seems that something needs to be removed maybe has Motherboard calculus or some sort of Memory infection or maybe a nast Rejection to the Graphic card.

Well, Alistair is about to start kindergarden fulltime so my Blog will become active again and maybe I will be able to finalise the website as well, but wait a minute , wasn't I supposed to start exercising?
Anyhow, my blog will be active once again.

So many happenings and so little PC time which means I've been creating a lot, plus our Satellite has been up and down, which means tonight I am losing yet another episode of "Battlestar Galactica". I wish I knew about satellites as much as I do for paper Crafts...It would be fixed in a Jiff...

I've used a misterious stamp which I think I got from annette Cramer, but might be a Zetti after all...
A misterious image appears between the cracks in the wallpaint, who is this androginous creature?
Each one has its own unique charm. Most of the artists in FatBook swaps make an original and then photocopies the original as many times as needed and then embellishes it, but I felt I was somewhat cheating so as usual i took the hardest road, but it prooved to be the most artistic sound one. I am liking the results very much.
All of the androginous masks were mounted on Acidfree matboard.

The world or you has gone totally bunkers?
Today I am at this stage.
I am no longer sure how can I apply the teachings of the Dalai Lama on applying diverse thinking to difficult issues or how to thnka your enemy for trying your patience.
Is it possible my Italian DNA needs to explode the anger it accumulates?

I think today it will be a very productive (artistically) day.
Why the majority of the artists have to suffer in order to produce sense-stimulant work?

...as incredible as it sounds I survived one week back at home. No, it is not that bad, but my family overwhelming propensity to Drama can be heavy on MY nerves.
It was a smooth visit, considering my sister and my mother do not talk to each other and considering that my brother does not speak to my sister and my brother has a new living partner: Daniela.
Lots of adjustments for me and Alistair.

I have not been anywhere else other then around Pisa and I truly enjoyed it.I have plenty of pictures of bycicles to start two different altered books...but if I keep on spending my time on the net.....

So I am calling this mini-scrapbboks! I love to make them as they relatively easy to make and they are making such great gifts!
I learnt how to make them at a Stampin' Up demostration, but the demostrator made Greeting cards out of them and did not really emphasize the multiple uses of such versatile mini-book.
I am trying to capture the book when it's all opened-up, but I haven't been creative enough yet.
These all measure 4"x4" closed down but when they are opened up they are 7"X 21".
You will see a lot of these coming up on teh Blog in the next month or so.

These are some last minute cards I made impromptu to send off some money (ROFL), they all are made from the junk pile and I absolutely love the result! I found out that I work best when I tend to use colours that I am not fond of. I even write better when I write about things I do not care for.

I've finally completed my first Official German course at the VHS. I ended up Top of the class with half of a point distance from Michael the Polish guy who I am in competition with.I guess for me it is a motivation to have a friendly competition going.
It feels good to accomplish such a task, I just wish my relationship with my mother would be that easy to resolve...Oh well, life goes on.

I' ve been "playing" altering a book and trying different techniques, but the main technique is definetely "Get rid of the beautiful junk I keep on piling up everywhere", Junk meaning anything i can find, from things found on the ground, the swiming pool or the car wash to chocolate foils to candy wrappers to cat food cans. I promise you I will find a way to use the cat food can in a book.

Actually you cannot believe your eyes, as I do not have the camera right now as Alistair just managed to drag half a bundle of yarn through the room trying to get on the chair of my desk....and now all innocently is trying to burn out my desk light bulb by continuosly turning it on and off.
Right now he has just switched to my cheapo stapler...and hitting it with my eyelets setting tool...Where is Grandma when I need her?

So I need to begin a new stride in my writing, a fast one I hope.
Sometimes I deeply believe that I invent new English words and way of saying, but it's ok, at least i do speak English.
I should be at the desk, making a box tos end some items out, but right now I want to write about my sore lip, my cold hands and my two almost empty water bottles that are sitting next to me.Why do i infest the house with almost empty bottles and then in the middle of the night when I am thirsty I cannot find one for dear life?And I surely do not feel like going down one set of stairs into the kitchen...
And why do I still have xmas ornaments laying around here in my studio and xmas lights outside?
Until just aobut one hour ago I even had a calendar, that I did not bother to update since last August, on my wall. I took pity of myself and removed it, clipped the months off and kept the images.
I should get off the PC and watch Battlestar Galactica or read the Dalai Lama book.

I've been flabergasted at the nothingness some blogs produce...
So I create this reaction to it.
Just Blogging about everything flowing through my mind.
I' ve been reading The happiness book of the Dalai Lama and came to term on how difficult is to be really compassionate, to let go of the prejudices and anger and hate.
In my German class at the Volkhochschule in Mainz we are truly the represantation of today's German population: Turks, Maroccans, Croatians,Peruvians, polish, Dominicans, Italian and Iraquis.we are all there as ambassadors to our countries, to our culture.Having said that I found myself having terrible difficulties feeling compassionate towards someone who DOES not pay attention to what the teacher tells us, I understand the difficulty in breaking the language barrier (as the class is only in German), but when something is repeated 10 times what prevent these people from following the pattern?Even when things are clearly written on the eraserboard they seem to be lost. Is their own culture preventing them from opening their minds to be aware of their surroundings? Is their own culture installing a fear within themselves to be a mere onlooker?
I can't say, yet.
In the other hand The other Italians in my class are the opposite they blabber infenetely in a language mixed between regional dialect and German, letting the regional dialect dictate the German language.Interesting, isn't it?

I wish I had an easy answer about where i would like to see myself and my artwork go digitally in the next year.
A blog is a wonderful outlet for spontaneity but the artwork display part of the creation process need stability for viewing ...

Plus, it is becoming harder to keep posting on teh Blog as my time is getting shorter as German classes take most of my week.

I should sing I don't feel like dancing (listening to Scissor but I surely feel like producing either in a way of artwork or in a way of bringing to conclusions my thousands of projects around the house and with 4 levels to take care of and a garden in theback and a parking area in the front there is surely plenty of doing.
First outlet of energy today was cleaning the various floors, I am not going to take any pictures of my floors but believe me that they were in need of attention, but then I also had time to play my newly arrived B-day gift (a bit early I must admit): Wizard by Spellbinders: I am hooked. I am trying to feed all sort of objects through my Wizard, but in my excitement I forgot to read the instructions and watch the DVD. the resul of my oversight is that both of my Master white mats are dented by a bottlecap. Nothing major but please listen to me read your instructions carefully when using a new tool unknown to you.

These above are my miniature collages, they measure 1"x1", I had a lot of interesting times creating them, but they surely are worthwhile.

Man, what a couple of weeks have been these past 2 weeks.
First of all, I was addicted to "Angels and Demons" by Dan Brown, still am, I wish Dan would have articulated on how Camerlengo got in touch with the Hassassin but oh well....
I got very few nights of sleep as I also had Perla and her son Sean visiting for a couple of days. We did not do much as getting out of the house with 2 toddlers resulted quite difficult as Alistair was continuosly attacking Sean. Then Sean would not go to sleep until about 11-midnight...So no drinkingbut we still had a great time!
We managed to get one glass of wine to the local Winegut (at a walking distance from my house) before Jeff called us back because Sean had a Mommy Crisis and Jeff could not calm him down.
We also went to Dublin for 4 days, Perla was supposed to come with me but retreated at the last minute...so me , Jeff and Alistair went, of course we had a ball! (The B&B we stayed at, right in front of Dublin Bay)

I am still working with NEtFusion 8 trying to bring to life my upcoming website and Alistair's website.
It is not as easy as they say it is, I need a lot of time to read all of the tutorials...Yes, recently I have learnt the hardway that I am not a genius as I believed and I would waste so much less time if I read the "instructions" first.

Plus good news people my brother at the tender age of 28 moved out of my parents mini-apartment , moved out with a wonderful Saint named Daniela. It makes me wonder about the absolute power of God in moments like this, plus my Mom obscene neighbour passed away.

Grapes and blood.

Well , the guy that owns the vineyard we went at to pick the grapes up told an amusing story that involves Noah, the Devil, a lamb, a monkey, a lion, a pig and bloody sacrifices. I had to fit in so I decided to shower the grapes with some of my own blood by clipping it .Yes, it hurts, wasn't I sayiong something about having quite a bit of problems with my fingers?
The pain got away as I drank more wine and more wine, good healthy chemical free wine, now my finger hurts and my head and sinus hurts a swell and tomorrow morning we are leaving for 4 days to Dublin. Wasn't I supposed to leave from Dublin with an hangover and not leave to Dublin with one?
Anyway , great experience if you haven't done it in a German vineyard do it, it is worth the baby-sitting money.

Here above some snapshots of the experience, the guy on top of the trailer is from Wroclaw so of course we had a sort of conversation about Poland especially about Zakopane and its market (pre-Blog days).
